Share your toys. Share your food. Share your clothes. Share the back seat of the station wagon with my 9 sisters and brothers. Jeez Mom! As one of 10 children, BOY did I learn to share MY PARENTS, amongst other things. It was a necessity in my world. But now that I consider my crowded childhood, I realize that sharing with friends and siblings meant that I was not alone. I shared memories. Shared ideas. Shared dreams. If you stop long enough to think about it, when you dream alone, with your eyes shut, asleep – that dream is an illusion deep in your subconscience. When we dream together, sharing the same dream, awake and with our eyes wide open – only THEN we can make that dream a reality together. That’s a good reason to share, isn’t it?
When we share our thoughts, ideas, creativity… we are sharing a bit of ourselves and by doing so, we are reconfirming our reality. Not to mention that sharing those particular things with others can expand upon them and make them more useful. But overall, we should all share with those in need most especially. If you don’t have money or things, share a little bit of your heart. That won’t cost you a thing!
“The love in your heart wasn’t put there to stay. Love isn’t love ’til you give it away.” —Oscar Hammerstein
“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared. ” —Buddha
“Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.”
